In act 2, Torvald tells Nora he is letting Krogstad go to give Kristina a job. Nora begs Torvald not to let Krogstad go because she knows it could cause consequences for her. When Torvald was terribly ill Nora borrowed money from Krogstad. If Krogstad loses his job he would tell Torvald everything. Every time someone would come through the door, Nora would get paranoid that it was Krogstad coming to tell Torvald.
Also in act 2, a new love is found. Dr. Rank and Nora have a flirtatious conversation. In this conversation Dr. Rank admits his love for Nora. Nora flirtatious shows Dr. Rank her silk stockings, which just so happen to be flesh colored (what would Torvald think of this??). After this flirtatious conversation, Krogstad comes back and leaves the letter to Torvald, telling him everything. Could this lead to a terrible fate for Nora?
